As an Air Hostess, also known as a Flight Attendant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, comfort, and satisfaction of passengers during their flight. Your primary responsibilities will revolve around providing exceptional customer service, adhering to safety protocols, and handling various in-flight tasks. This role requires a blend of excellent interpersonal skills, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to manage a variety of situations with professionalism and composure.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Passenger Safety and Compliance:
    • Conduct pre-flight safety briefings for passengers, demonstrating the use of safety equipment and emergency procedures.
    • Perform pre-flight safety checks, including ensuring that safety equipment is in working order and emergency exits are accessible.
    • Assist passengers in the event of an emergency, including evacuations, medical emergencies, and other unforeseen incidents.
    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of safety protocols, regulations, and procedures as set by the airline and aviation authorities.
  2. Customer Service Excellence:
    • Greet passengers with a warm and friendly demeanor as they board and disembark the aircraft.
    • Assist passengers with finding their seats, stowing carry-on luggage, and settling in comfortably.
    • Address passenger inquiries, provide information about flight details, and respond to requests promptly and courteously.
    • Ensure that the in-flight experience is enjoyable by serving meals, beverages, and refreshments in a professional manner.
    • Handle any passenger issues or complaints with empathy and professionalism, seeking to resolve problems to the satisfaction of the passenger.
  3. In-Flight Duties:
    • Perform regular checks throughout the flight to ensure passenger comfort and address any needs or concerns.
    • Monitor and manage the cabin environment, including temperature, lighting, and noise levels, to maintain a pleasant atmosphere.
    • Conduct in-flight sales, including duty-free products, snacks, and beverages, ensuring accurate transactions and inventory management.
    • Oversee the cleanliness and organization of the cabin, including managing waste and ensuring that the aircraft remains in a tidy condition.
  4. Team Collaboration:
    • Work closely with the flight crew, including pilots and fellow air hostesses, to ensure smooth operation and coordination of all in-flight activities.
    • Participate in pre-flight briefings and debriefings, sharing relevant information and updates with team members.
    • Support and assist colleagues during high-pressure situations, such as turbulence or emergencies, to ensure effective teamwork and communication.
  5. Pre-Flight and Post-Flight Duties:
    • Arrive at the airport well in advance of the flight departure to complete pre-flight preparations, including reviewing flight details and checking equipment.
    • Assist with boarding and deplaning procedures, ensuring that passengers board and exit the aircraft in an orderly and timely manner.
    • Conduct post-flight duties, including checking and securing the cabin, preparing for the next flight, and completing any required reports or documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in hospitality or aviation preferred.
  • Experience: Previous experience in customer service or a related field is advantageous. Experience in the airline industry is a plus.
  • Skills:
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with passengers from diverse backgrounds.
    • Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to remain calm under pressure.
    • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and service.
    • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as flight schedules require.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy items, such as passenger luggage and service carts.
  • Capacity to stand, walk, and maneuver through the aircraft for extended periods.
  • Good physical stamina and overall health to manage the demands of the job and handle potential in-flight emergencies.

Working Conditions:

  • Air Hostesses work in a dynamic environment, spending a significant amount of time on their feet and interacting with passengers in a confined space.
