This season has been a tough one for the Indianapolis Colts, who entered Week 13 with a most impressive 4-7-1. Indianapolis will try to come to terms with the Dallas Cowboys. The entire football world is watching as the two teams finish in a prime-time matchup on Sunday. Unfortunately for Indy, Dallas is playing very well at the moment.
The Cowboys went 8-3 and had his two victories impressive. They have one of the best defenses in the league, led by Micah Parsons, and a gun-laden offense. But the Colts have found a way to tighten their game, so things should be competitive. If so, here are some good bets.
Alec Pierce 27.5 yards (-114)
After an impressive seven-game stretch, Alec Pierce is back on Earth in his rookie year. In his final three games, he appeared in his two games and was targeted only twice but was not caught. This explains why Pierce is only 27.5 over/under in receiving yards in this game.
Pierce is a bit depressed, but the rookie is hoping for a solid performance. In Week 11, Pierce gained 28 yards against the Philadelphia Eagles. He gained 28 or more yards in seven of his 11 total career games. Pierce should be able to score number 8 on Sunday night.
Michael Pittman Jr. 5.5 catches (-114)
The Colts’ offense has been terrible, but Matt Ryan finds a receiver a few times each game for exciting moments. No receiver is more targeted than Michael Pittman Jr.
For this bet to succeed, Michael Pittman Jr. would have to catch at least his 6th. Pittman has done so in eight of his 11 games played this season, including his last three. That streak should continue Sunday against the Cowboys.
Jonathan Taylor anytime touchdown scorer (-115)
Since Jeff Saturday took over and made getting Taylor the ball a point of emphasis, Taylor has had 64 carries over three games for 317 yards, five yards a carry, and has scored a touchdown in each of the last three games. Expect Taylor to find the end zone on Sunday night.
